We have been happily serving souls for 10 years now and it has been our honor to do so. Our community is real and true and lasting. This is a place where you will twist, turn, lengthen, strengthen, balance and breathe in your body, as well as in your soul.

We believe that yoga is a journey of self-discovery and connection where we learn about ourselves physically and spiritually.


Our mission is to nurture and celebrate every individual by creating a caring and supportive environment where practitioners of all levels can explore their potential, find joy in movement, and cultivate a deeper connection with their mind, body, and spirit. The connection happens within yourself, as well as within this amazing community. Why the heat?

In a heated class we increase the heat to 95 degrees, and we add humidity to the room to help you sweat properly. The more yogis in the room, the hotter it can get, so it could get up to 100 degrees. Occasionally throughout the class we use an air exchange unit to remove the hot air and replace it with outside air. This way your air is consistently fresh and any build up of carbon dioxide is removed from the room.

Increased Flexibility

Heat warms the muscles and connective tissue. This makes them more pliable, therefore you can get a little deeper into your connective tissue gaining more flexibility than you would in a not hot room. This allows for deeper stretching and improved range of motion of the joints. It may also reduce the risk of injury when stretching, but you always want to avoid overstretching.

Enhanced Circulation

Heat causes vasodilation (blood vessels expand) allowing blood flow to improve. When blood flow improves, oxygen delivery to the muscles increases potentially enhancing performance and recovery. The blood is also better able to carry away toxins like carbon dioxide.

Detoxification

Although most of your detoxification is done through your liver and kidneys, you also release toxins through your sweat and your breath. This leaves you with a feeling of detoxification, which is amazing! 

Cardiovascular 

Our yoga classes get your heart moving because they are Vinyasa Flow, linking poses together using movement and breathe. It is definitely a cardiovascular workout and when you add the heat, it elevates your heart rate even during static poses. This increases the calorie burn and endurance.

Our staff

All of our teachers have a minimum of a 200 hour Certification from a Yoga Alliance Registered school. The Yoga Alliance is a nation wide organization that serves as a regulatory body for yoga schools and teachers. The Yoga Alliance sets standards for yoga teacher training programs to promote professionalism in this field. All of our teachers have met these standards in order to be able to teach at Sweat and Soul. But, not only have they attained the required standards to be an amazing yoga teacher, they have gone above and beyond as amazing human beings. I am proud to say that each and every teacher that works here has an amazing heart, positive energy, and compassion in their soul. This is the best part of Sweat and Soul Yoga Studio!!!
